In-Pavement Rail Signal Lighting Systems

Signaling systems are fundamental to the safe and efficient running of railway operations. The systems are used to signal the permitted running speed to the train operator. Our in-pavement, recessed fixtures provide signaling without obstructing the flow of pedestrians and vehicle traffic in urban environments.

Three in-pavement fixtures are available:
• TS-RAIL-4: Anodized aluminum body.
• TS-RAIL-5: Stainless steel body.
• TS-RAIL-6: Fully-flush, anodized aluminum body.

Fanshawe College Crosswalk in London, Ontario

Fanshawe College in London, Ontario recently installed three of our TS40 Pedestrian Crossing Flashing LED Edge Lit Signs to mark a dangerous crosswalk. Because of a sharp bend in the road, the crosswalk was not visible to approaching drivers. Two of the TS40s were placed adjacent to the crosswalk, and the third was placed ahead of the bend in the road to provide an early warning to drivers of the upcoming crosswalk. The signs feature a built-in photocell that automatically activates the sign LEDs at night.

CityScape Phoenix

CityScape Phoenix recently installed two of our TS40 Custom Flashing LED Edge Lit Signs marking the exits of its parking garage. The flashing signs read “CAUTION VEHICLE CROSSING” and are designed to warn pedestrians to watch for vehicles exiting the parking structure. These blind garage exits can be dangerous because exiting vehicles may not always see and yield to crossing pedestrians.

Safetyville USA Thank You Letters

We are pleased to share a bunch of colorful drawings from children who had visited Safetyville USA. Traffic Safety Corp. is a proud sponsor of Safetyville USA, whose mission is to teach children safety skills. When children come through Safetyville USA, their teachers are encouraged to create a follow up “Safetyville” activity to reinforce the safety lessons they have learned. This project most often takes the form of thank you letters to the building sponsors.

28 LED Traffic Signs Light the Way to Safer Casinos

Safer Roads at Luxor Casino

How can casinos keep patrons safe? How best to protect them as they venture onto the street? Luxor casino made safer roads by installing 28 of our LED traffic signs. They’re using flashing LED roadway traffic signs to increase driver awareness along the roadway and intersections near the casino.

Luxor has taken improved pedestrian safety and reduced liability by installing 28 systems of flashing LED traffic and pedestrian street signs.

LED Traffic Signs Create a Traffic Safety Zone

The series of lighted traffic sign systems run virtually the entire length of West Reno Ave in Las Vegas, Nevada. This comprehensive installation includes two types of LED traffic signs – both pedestrian crossing signs and stop signs. Each is outfitted with flashing LED lights around the edges.

See them on Google Streetview here.

When used together, these LED traffic signs create a road safety zone. This is an extremely effective way to gain driver attention in all kinds of weather and lighting conditions. The signs work especially well at night – when more people frequent the casinos.

A Viable and Affordable Way to Improve Safety

This is an extensive installation, not an expensive installation. Opting for a series of LED traffic signs is an affordable and effective way to address pedestrian safety concerns. Partly because of their affordability, LED traffic signs are becoming a more popular safety solution. For the price of a single signal you can address road safety concerns at multiple intersections.

Traffic Calming for Reduced Liability

Sometimes casinos are seen as having deep pockets. Unfortunately, this can make them frequent targets for litigation. Beyond the main benefit of keeping people safe, these systems may help with reducing the likelihood of lawsuits that often follow an accident or injury. Why would the Luxor casino gamble on a lawsuit? They keepi patrons safe along with lighted LED traffic signs proven to help.

TSC’s Wireless Traffic Signs Selected by US Marine Corps

Lighted Roadway Traffic Signs for a Safer Base

The United States Marine Corps Recruit Depot on Parris Island, SC has selected our wireless traffic signs to improve roadway safety for recruitsThere are more than 38 of our wireless edge-lit LED traffic sign at various locations around the base.

FHWA studies have proven that flashing LED traffic signs boost safety. Highly-visible in broad daylight and at night, these installations also increase driver awareness in a variety of weather conditions.

Protecting New Recruits

USMC Recruit Depot, located on Parris Island, South Carolina, has been home to the Marines since Nov. 1, 1915. MCRD Parris Island currently trains half of all male recruits, and all female recruits in the United States.

Embedded LED tradffic signs make crosswalks safer

Embedded LEDs make crosswalks and roadways safer for pedestrians and drivers alike.

We salute the USMC for prioritizing roadway and pedestrian safety at the Deopt, using the very latest in flashing wireless LED traffic sign technology.

14 Crosswalk Systems Boost Pedestrian Safety at Logan International Airport

Safer Pedestrians at Boston Logan Airport

One of America’s busiest airports just got safer. Boston’s Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts recently installed 14 of our LED crosswalk lighting systems at the airport.

Lighted Crosswalks Connect to Terminal

Each of the 14 systems are installed at crosswalks connecting airport terminals to nearby parking areas. Pedestrians walking across the road are made more visible by the safety lighting. The flashing array of roadway lighting draws driver attention to people attempting to cross.

Custom Combination of System Components

Each element of these safety systems has been custom selected to fit the needs of the site. Typical TS600 crosswalk warning light systems are augmented with flashing traffic signs. When activated, the crosswalk warning lights flash in conjunction with the LED traffic signs at each curb.

10 Crosswalk Safety Systems for Chevron Corporate Campus

Improving Crosswalk Safety at Chevron

Ten crosswalk warning systems are installed at the Chevron corporate campus in Bakersfield, CA. Ten systems combined create a large network of pedestrian safety lighting. This has the effect of creating an extensive safety zone around campus.

Long Lasting Crosswalk Lighting Systems

These are extremely durable lighting systems. Fixtures are installed directly in the roadway. Although designed to be virtually permanent, fixtures can be temporarily removed. This allows for easy maintenance and also facilitates street resurfacing projects. Ultra-bright LEDs flash, bringing driver attention to someone crossing the road. The lights also improve the rate of driver yielding to pedestrians waiting to cross the street.

Crosswalk Lighting for Worker Safety

There can often be hidden dangers present on the busy streets and roadways at a corporate campuses. Many corporations are beginning to recognize and more widely address pedestrian safety as a worker safety issue. crosswalk lighting, flashing roadway signs, and radar speed signs are proven to help.

Combined Systems Create Safety Zone

While crosswalk lighting is useful even in standalone installations, but Chevron’s approach is even more effective. They are creating a comprehensive safety zone. The effect of 10 systems used together is greater than ten systems separately. This virtual street safety zone improves crosswalk safety and protect workers. Drivers and pedestrians moving between buildings are more aware, with safer walking conditions for all.
